Trust once again set for Prideraiser

For the second consecutive season, Nashville Soccer Club supporters will be participating in the Prideraiser in June. The initiative, which began with Chattanooga FC and Detroit City FC supporters earlier this decade, is designed for fans to make a cash pledge to a local LGBTQ charity based on the number of goals scored that month by their respective team.

Last year, Nashville fans generated nearly $1,800 for the Oasis Center’s Just Us program, and in all, the participating Prideraiser groups generated north of $50,000 for such charities. So far this year, there have been more than 800 pledges from 43 supporters groups across North America.

In addition to the pledge aspect of the fundraising drive—which is being spearheaded by The Roadies, all of the NSC supporters groups will be selling rainbow bandanas across NSC’s June events. All net proceeds will go directly to the Oasis Center.

Just Us is dedicated to helping lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth achieve their full potential. Specifically, it provides a liberating space for middle school and high school students where they can be their authentic selves. In addition, the program provides an array of services that center on support and advocacy. It also supplies resources and assistance for the families and agencies who work with young people.
